غالبًا ما تكون عروض البوابات الأرخص، لكنها قد تحمل قيودًا خفية مثل حدود المعدل، أو التوافر غير المنتظم، أو غياب اتفاقية مستوى الخدمة. لا يشمل عدّ أفضل سعر لكل جهة سوى النماذج التي لديها قناتان مدفوعتان على الأقل، فيعكس منافسة حقيقية بدلًا من أن تكون جهة واحدة هي المضيف الوحيد.
